Thank you for considering me in your search for a therapist. You are taking a courageous step, and the good news is you do not have to do it alone.
“When bad things happen, look for the helpers, you will always find people who are helping.“
-Mr. Fred Rogers-
My focus is to help individuals heal, become aware of their inner strengths, and to become more resilient. This is achieved by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing treatment. I’d love to help you on your journey developing coping tools, the opportunity to heal and to become more resilient. Together we can make a plan to get back control, release what no longer serves you, and work towards your personal goals, towards healing.
After more than 20 years I have developed a strong set of skills, and a versatile style. I find with compassion, humor, education, and respect combined with my clinical experience has made me very successful when helping people. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, parenting issues, grief and trauma. I am a certified EMDR therapist.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had or are seeking in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger following traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a very effective psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma.
